Blerg of a week

Yeah so this week has been rough. The last three weeks have been rough. But in the end we aren't moving and we will get a new TV and new bed. I guess.
I also drew this one earlier when things were more in flux.

Wedding celebration sketches

Sunday was the wedding celebration for my mom and her new husband Jim. They got married back in April.

I did this drawing during the performance part of the celebration. Anita and Jim in front of the log cabin. Or behind it depending on how you look at it.

My cousin Allison played music and then people got up and read poems or told stories. It was pretty cool. While they did that, I got some sketching in.
Later, we did a bunch of Draw Offs and it was super fun. Mostly it was me, my aunt Carol, my cousin's wife Rachel, Allison, and her boyfriend John. My aunt Karen, cousin Tony, brother Isaac, and cartoonist John also participated over teh course of the night. You can see my drawings here.

More Ladies

More ladies. I did these during Drink and Draw. We missed a bunch of weeks in a row, but should be back for a bit. Since we are moving to Renton in a month, I don't know if we will be able to keep going, but I sure hope so.

I drew these after going to hot topic where I coveted the Batman sweatshirts. I did get smoe Batman socks, along with some Domo socks (that little brown monster guy), some cool earrings (mustaches, pink skeletons, and spikes, headbands that are too small for my giant balloon of a head, and some fake hair in blue and green since I can't dye my hair with my job. Good times.

Ladies

Trying to get back in the swing of things with posting. Here are some ladies as I practice drawing larger women for a story. Both are based on Melissa McCarthy, but the first one I just did her outfit and body and just drew a random face.

Regina

Little drawing of the adorable and talented Regina Spektor. Looks nothing like her, really. But I find her music incredibly inspiring.
